September 16th Worship: Scriptural Speed-bumps: “Turn the other cheek…”
Just when we thought we have wrestled enough with the concept of “eye for an eye,” Jesus adds a whole new twist! This Sunday at 9:30 or 11:00 am, come and hear the words of Jesus and what he asks us to do in light of the command of an “eye for an eye.” Are Christians meant to be weak – the ones who are walked upon by evildoers? Does Jesus want us to suffer? Absolutely not! Jesus came to save and heal, not condemn and cause suffering, so we need to discover the truth behind this difficult passage
