September 23rd Worship: Scriptural Speed-bumps: “Women should be silent in the churches…”
This Sunday we tackle a huge speed-bump head on: the role of women in the Church! The United Methodist Church has been ordaining women as clergy, Ministers of the Word, since 1968, but many Christian denominations reject this practice. Are we in flagrant violation of God’s law? Do we need to get a new pastor? This Sunday, at 9:30 or 11:00 am, come see what God will reveal in our midst as we explore together and get to the bottom of this divisive topic in the Bible.
