Nehemiah Action Coming Up!
Crozet UMC Justice Ministry members invite the entire Congregation to join with us, Pastor Sarah, and our Virginia Conference Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson at IMPACT Charlottesville’s 2024 Nehemiah Action meeting on Monday March 18th. This year, we are hoping that at least 50 of our church members will attend to stand for Justice in our community and to demonstrate our support of our Pastor, and our Bishop.
The program will start at 6:30 pm at the MLK Performing Arts Center in Charlottesville and is the culmination of IMPACT’s push for Justice in our Community this season. During the meeting, IMPACT’s negotiators will push Albemarle County Board of Supervisors to create an Affordable Housing Ordinance to specify how an Affordable Housing Trust Fund will be managed and funded. The Nehemiah Action is the culmination of our Justice Ministry’s Action Year, and it is extremely important that we have a congregational presence.
