Beyond the Pulpit 6.8.25
Good Morning Crozet UMC,
I missed you last Sunday and appreciated having the Sunday to visit with my parents who were in town helping us get settled in at the parsonage. They stayed for a week and were so helpful to us as we arranged (and rearranged furniture), hung pictures and towel racks, and did a ton of yard work at the parsonage! We still have a ways to go, but we are so thrilled to have everything under one roof here in Crozet! We appreciate your support and prayers.
This past week, I’ve been back in the office. Some of the highlights have included bumping into the hard-working Saturday grounds crew and Grace Grocery volunteers, meeting one of our Grace Grocery delivery drivers and learning about his grandkids who have been loosely connected to CUMC over the years, offering pastoral care to a variety of folks, seeing our new prayer team ministry kick off (if you’d like to join this group which meets bi-monthly for prayer, please let Sue Erbele know at sue.erbele@breininger.us), and preparing for Annual Conference which will be this coming week, June 11 – 14, in Roanoke. Paul Dowell and I will be attending Annual Conference and will look forward to bringing you highlights as we gather with other United Methodists from all over Virginia. If you’d like to follow along with any of the Annual Conference, you may do so by clicking the Livestreaming button at https://vaumc.org/ac2025/.
Have a great week!
Pastor Christy
