Happy Sunday Crozet UMC,

I look forward to seeing you today for worship and Grow Group! Don’t forget that we have Grow Group weekly for all ages at 10am. In worship we’ll be continuing our focus on the Nicene Creed…today we’re going back to the beginning…”We Believe in One God, Maker of Heaven and Earth.”

This past week, I was back in the office after being in and out the past few weeks. In addition to meeting with staff and leaders, I generally focussed on fall ministry things like: Advent worship planning, charge conference reports, budget prep, leadership nominations, and setting meetings with ministry team coordinators for the coming year. In the next week or so, I’ll be sharing with you about the newly formed ministry teams and how they will help us meet our annual ministry priorities and initiatives. Everyone can be a part of a ministry team!

As we turn the corner toward the end of October, we are nearing All Saints Sunday in 2 weeks, on November 2. This is when we name and honor Crozet UMC’s beloved saints who have passed away in the last year. Please let me know if you are aware of a Crozet UMC member who has passed away in the last year. We will honor them with an angel bell on our All Saints Bell Banner. We also invite everyone to honor their saints, living or deceased, by adding a bell to our banner prior to worship on November 2.

Finally…don’t forget…today is CAR WASH WHILE YOU WORSHIP day! Make a donation to the Youth and get your car washed while you worship! Your donations support Youth ministry and mission at Crozet UMC! I can’t wait!
