Beyond the Pulpit 1.11.26

Hello Crozet UMC Family!
Last Sunday afternoon was a busy one. I joined Kathy Micucci and several others to be trained as Relational Responders for Care Portal. This is a new ministry for us at CUMC, where we will have the opportunity to assist in providing the urgent, real-time needs of vulnerable children and families living right in our community. Needs such as a bed, a car seat, rent assistance, and more can provide critical, immediate relief and restore a family back to a strong and healthy state.  You can check the current needs online at this website and be sure to reach out to Kathy Micucci with any questions.
Then, later last Sunday I joined folks from our Worship Design Team to DEdecorate the sanctuary. I am grateful for those who assisted…it’s not a very exciting job…but the more, the merrier!
Throughout the week, beyond the pulpit, was mostly a time of getting back into the routine following the holidays. I joined a meeting with IMPACT’s Neighborhood Safety Steering Committee, and I met with CUMC staff and leaders to wrap up loose ends from 2025 and discuss goals and ministries for 2026. I am super excited about what’s on the horizon, including Children’s Church, Rise Against Hunger, Vacation Bible School, and much more!
Stay tuned! I”m glad you’re a part of our church family, and I hope to see you in person soon!
