Hello Crozet UMC!
This week has been quite busy with everything from IMPACT Charlottesville’s Community Problems Assembly (where Neighborhood Safety / Gun Violence Prevention was named our newest focus issue) to an early morning walk around Lickinghole Creek with a few of our early risers!
One of the things I’m most excited about this week at Crozet UMC is the creation and launch of five Ministry Teams! I’m deeply grateful to our Lay Leadership & Nominations Committee for helping shape these teams and for identifying dedicated Co-Coordinators for each one.

The purpose of these Ministry Teams is to bring greater connection and collaboration among our existing ministries, helping us work together toward the annual priorities and initiatives set by the Church Council. These are not new ministries—rather, they are a way of organizing and supporting the wonderful ministries we already have. This structure will help us recognize areas of growth, avoid duplication of efforts, and better live out our shared mission.

Each team’s Co-Coordinators will help support, promote, and coordinate the ministries within their area, while also encouraging the development of new opportunities for ministry as they emerge. Our Co-Coordinators will be serving through 2026, and may continue to serve beyond that!

Please join me in celebrating these Ministry Teams and Co-Coordinators! If you already lead or participate in any of these ministries, you may be hearing from your Co-Coordinators soon. Or, feel free to reach out to them! If you see a ministry you’d like to check out, don’t hesitate to contact a Co-Coordinator!
