Happy 4th Sunday of Advent Crozet UMC!
This is an exciting time and I look forward to seeing you over the next several days as we celebrate the birth of Christ. I am excited to share that we are welcoming 5 new members to our Crozet UMC church family today. I hope you will join us for worship as we welcome them.
This past week things were hopping!
I met with the Love INC Board and we approved the 2026 budget. I’m also very excited that Crozet UMC will be partnering with Love INC through the Care Portal to provide goods, resources and a sense of community to local children and their families who are in crisis. If you’re interested in learning more, please connect with Kathy Micucci at kmic1288@gmail.com.
Our CUMC Church Council also met this past week and we were very excited to learn from our Finance Chair that at the end of November we were in a better financial position YTD than we have been at this point since before 2020! Kudos to all who have continued to give to God through CUMC. Also at our Council meeting, we bid farewell to outgoing Council members: Bob Law (SPPRC Chair), Mike Micucci (Finance Chair), and Hank Weil (Building & Grounds / Trustee Chair). We are so very grateful for their superb leadership and their continued devotion to Crozet UMC! We will miss them immensely!
This week we were also thrilled to pass along last summer’s VBS curriculum, props, and materials to Mt. Moriah Methodist Church! Thanks to Bart Isley for arranging for this transfer. We are grateful to be able to “pay it forward” so that others can grow in faith using these supplies.
I also had the exciting opportunity to attend the JoyBelles UWF Circle’s Christmas Dinner AND Grace Grocery’s Christmas Social where we celebrated the work of Jolly & and Hank Weil and Connie Herring. All will be “re-retiring” at the end of this year and are confident that Grace Grocery is in good hands and will continue the good work it’s already doing in our community! It was great to be together with this amazing group of servants!
