Jesus and John the Baptist had different disciples that assisted and followed them.  They had divergent ministries, even though they knew and served the same God.  So when the differences become so apparent that they must be addressed, John the Baptist sends some of his followers to speak with Jesus.  How Jesus chooses to talk with them will become a critical point in both ministries and allows us to learn how we too can use conversation to nurture healing and make space for reconciliation.
