Dealing with Disappointment: Disappointed in Others
This week we shift to exploring the way the Bible reveals dealing with disappointment in others, and the one doing so in this Sunday’s Scripture is none other than God. God discovers that human sin is pervasive, and heartbreaking, even for a heart as great as God’s own. God decides to start again, but then finds hope in one person who does right and is good: Noah. God’s plans shift, and by focusing on Noah, God also focuses on Noah’s family, and more and more finds salvation and blessing because of the good in Noah. May we discover that focusing on the good can truly open doors to transforming the negative in this world into an opportunity to bless and share salvation. Associated Scripture: Genesis 6:5-18
