Go: Serve God Like Simeon
As is our tradition at Crozet United Methodist Church, we gather for worship on the fifth Sunday to pray and receive the tangible sign of God’s blessing in anointing. This Sunday we ponder the life and service of Simeon, a religious man who was promised that he would see the Messiah. He may never have considered that it would be as an eight day old baby, but God’s promise was true, and Simeon became one of the few to see and bless Jesus during his life on earth. We who gather even now have our opportunity to bless Jesus shining forth in others and see God in unexpected, but miraculous ways.
