Pentecost: The Gift
Crozetumc   -

Before he ascended to heaven, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, to the disciples.  Pentecost is the day that the Holy Spirit descended from heaven, and began to dwell in humankind in accordance with Christ’s words.  It is recognized as the birth of the Church, the religion of Christianity across the globe.  It also reminds us that we have been given a powerful ally, the Advocate, to help us in our work to share Christ with others.  As we explore the implications of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we invite you to come celebrate in worship with us this Sunday.  It is a day to rejoice that we do not have to be troubled or afraid, for Christ’s words are true, just as much today as they were almost two thousand years ago.
