Practical Jesus: Stop Swearing Vows and Promises
“Do you swear?” “I swear on …” These phrases permeate our verbal culture, but Jesus strongly teaches against such a practice. This Sunday you can discover why. The underlying purpose to swearing at all is that our word cannot be trusted, but why would that be so?
