Rebuilding the Temple: Making Peace
We begin our Lenten Worship Series facing the monumental task of rebuilding the Body of Christ as it emerges from the pandemic. Do we simply go back to the way things were, or do we reimagine, building a stronger foundation, a more secure connection, and the ability to better respond to the next difficulty to come? To find guidance and wisdom to answer that question, we turn to the Prophet Zechariah who was tasked with leading God’s people back from the Babylonian Exile and building a new life in the reclaimed Promised Land. God’s guidance for the people then can inspire and lead us in our holy work now. Associated Scripture: Zechariah 8:11-17
