Rebuilding the Temple: Rekindle Your Spiritual Practices
Let us hear the words of the Prophet Isaiah once more. From days of old, his words conveyed the transformation God required of God’s people, and his words have been preserved, not as a dead historical account, but as a vibrant call to those who follow the Lord even now. If the exiled people of God wanted to return and experience God’s blessing once more, they had to rebuild their faithfulness as well as the destroyed Temple and cities. They had to rediscover the practices that connected them to God and enabled them to fulfill the spirit of the Law. That call to justice and faithfulness rings through the Scripture this day.
