Sanctifying Grace
Crozetumc   -

We end our Methodism May Worship series today with the final movement of God’s grace: sanctifying grace, which changes us through God’s love to be more like our Lord.  Sanctification is a lifelong process of being made holy, as we were created in Genesis and called in Exodus to be.  God’s work in us is part of our faith journey, and grace completed us in a way that reveals our faith to the world while bringing glory to the name of God.  We may always feel the lure of sin, but we are empowered to resist and overcome through our Lord Jesus Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit, so that we may finally become the Holy People the Father called forth all the way back in the triumphant exodus from Egypt.
