Shock Value: To See, Hear, Feel, and Know Differently
The prophet, Amos, was told many disturbing and shocking things by the Lord, and instructed to share them with God’s people. The people did not appreciate the message Amos shared with them, and refused to hear God in his words. How often is God trying to speak into the depths of our hearts, and we are not listening? Sometimes God shocks us into seeing things differently. That spiritual jolt can enable us to discover God and God’s grace in unexpected places and new faces.
