Sundays in Advent: Micah
Crozetumc   -

Out of the mouth of the prophet Micah comes three simple commands: do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God.  Yet these are difficult to do, to live out, and to sustain.  Why would God ask so much of us, when we are prone to sin?  God never asks without equipping, never directs without guiding, and never sends without sustaining.  This Sunday we discover that these seemingly simple commands can radically change our world, and that starts by changing us and how we interact with others.  As we journey towards Bethlehem, we reorient ourselves upon the light of Christ to guide us, and lead us away from the temptations that would cause us to sin.  The Prophet Micah was part of God’s plan to guide us, and his proclamation still rings with divine wisdom today.  You can do what God asks, and the Body of Christ can help.  Come and see.
