The Sick
Jesus proclaimed that he came to heal. Then he sent the disciples out in pairs to heal others. He continues that with us. Not all healing is the eradication of physical illness. Not only does the Body of Christ strive to help bring medical healing to others, but we are part of God’s spiritual healing through our presence with the sick. While some may flee in fear, leaving the sick alone, we are driven by our desire to bear Christ to the bedside of those who are sick.
